Bamboo Sapa Hotel is a 4-star hotel in the town of Sa Pa in the northern region of Vietnam. We think this is the best value hotel we stayed in throughout the whole of our Vietnam journey. Read on to find out more.
The hotel is situated on the edge of Sa Pa town but because the town is relatively small in size it is convenient to walk to and from the bus station (likely your arrival point in Sa Pa). Walking takes a little over 10 minutes and while a taxi ride takes no longer than 5 minutes.
Nearby there are plenty of food options for you to choose from, including our favourite Good Morning View Restaurant – the food there is incredibly delicious and very reasonably priced.
But the best part about Bamboo Sapa Hotel’s location is that it’s perched right on the hillside at the edge of town. This offers unobstructed views of the mountains of Sa Pa which also, conveniently, is where the sun sets.
Bamboo Sapa Hotel has recently completed its renovations which brings it in line with today’s standard of modern hotels.
For our stay, we opted for the Superior Room with Mountain View. This meant we could enjoy the stunning views right from our bed thanks to the floor to ceiling glass windows. The room also comes with a balcony.
The room itself was very spacious and styled in a luxurious modern way. They even incorporated a glass-walled bathroom which has been the trend for high-end 5-star hotels. All-in-all, we were impressed with the design and space of the property.
Back on the lobby floor, you’ll find the infinity pool and a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The infinity pool also looks out onto the beautiful mountains of Sa Pa which makes for a unique experience. If you’re a morning swimmer you’ll be happy to know the pool is heated which is perfect considering the climate in Sa Pa is much cooler than other parts of the country. Bamboo Sapa Hotel also offers a floating breakfast service which has been all the rage on Instagram.
We almost never include a price section to our hotel reviews as prices can fluctuate day-by-day but we felt the price of a room at Bamboo Sapa Hotel was of such great value that we had to include it. At the time of our stay, a room at Bamboo Sapa Hotel could be booked for around US$30 which is honestly a steal considering the views, room, pool, and service we received. Of course, there are cheaper options around Sa Pa but none quite matches their offerings.
Sa Pa has seen a huge surge in tourism over the years which has led to higher prices of accommodations. It’s great to see Bamboo Sapa Hotel offering so much value at such a low price. If we were to visit Sa Pa again, we know exactly which we’ll be considering first.
